There be 句型的过去式 there was / there were
"某地有某物"用 There is/are，讲过去就变 There was/were。单数或不可数用 was（There was a river），复数用 were（There were many trees）。它和 have"某人拥有"不同，There be 强调"某地存在着什么"。
易错点:①be 动词要和"后面那个名词"的单复数一致，不是和地点一致；②否定用 There was no.../ weren't any...。考试常在"就近一致"和时态上设卡。突破:牢记"there be 后面第一个名词说了算"。
