要说'某地有某物',用 There is / There are,注意它表示'存在着',和表示'拥有'的 have 不一样。判断用 is 还是 are,看紧跟在后面的那个名词:单数或不可数用 is,复数用 are。

难点是'就近原则':There ___ a bed and two chairs 中,离 be 最近的是 a bed(单数),所以用 is。反过来 There ___ two chairs and a bed 就用 are。孩子常按'总数'判断而出错。突破:眼睛只盯 be 后面第一个名词。缩写 There's 只能用于单数,复数不缩写。
