第一问：干什么工作？——What does he do?
- What does your father do? （你爸爸是做什么的？）
- — He is a doctor. / He is a businessman.
- 同义问法：What is your father? / What's your father's job? （三种问法一个意思！）
第二问：在哪里工作？——Where does he work?
- Where does your mother work? （你妈妈在哪里工作？）
- — She works in a hospital. （注意 works，三单！）
第三问：怎么去上班？——How does he go to work?
- How does he go to work? （他怎么去上班？）
- — He goes to work by subway. （联动 Unit 2 的交通方式！）
回答职业别忘了 a / an：
- He is a pilot. / She is an English teacher. （元音音素开头用 an）
听说训练
家庭职业采访（和同伴问答）：

辨析对比
- What does he do? 问职业（他是做什么的？）——回答：He is a teacher.
- What is he doing? 问此刻动作（他正在干什么？）——回答：He is reading.（现在进行时，五年级学过）
- 一词之差，天壤之别：do 问职业，doing 问动作——听力题的经典陷阱；
- 职业词记忆小窍门：很多职业 = 动词 + er（work → worker, teach → teacher, sing → singer）；还有 man 结尾的（postman, businessman, fisherman）。
文化角
英语中很多职业词正在变得"男女平等"：以前说 policeman（男警察），现在更常用 police officer；以前说 fireman，现在说 firefighter——这样不管男女都适用。
英语国家的孩子从小学就有 Career Day（职业日）：家长们穿着工作服到学校，讲自己的职业故事。消防员、面包师、程序员……孩子们借此发现，每一种认真做事的工作都值得尊敬。
易错点
- 职业前丢冠词：He is doctor. ❌ → He is a doctor. ✅（职业是可数名词，单数要加 a/an）
- 三单问句用 do：What do he do? ❌ → What does he do? ✅（主语 he/she 用 does）
- 回答忘了动词加 s：She work in a hospital. ❌ → She works in a hospital. ✅
- do 与 doing 混淆：What does he do? 问职业，不是"他正在干嘛"——别答成 He is watching TV.
