- my / your / her 是"形容词性"——后面必须跟名词：my dog, your cap；
- mine / yours / hers 是"名词性"——单独站立，后面不跟名词：The dog is mine.；
- his 是个"两面派"：his dog（他的狗）和 The dog is his.（狗是他的）长得一样。
文化角
英语国家的学校常设 Lost and Found（失物招领处），捡到东西就送去那里，失主用一句 It's mine! 认领。西方家庭养宠物会给狗戴上写有名字和电话的项圈（dog tag），走丢了也能找到主人。在杭州，文明养犬同样重要：出门牵绳、及时清理——爱它，就要对它负责。
