一、频率副词在句中的位置，口诀：实义动词前，be 动词后，情态动词后。
- 实义动词前：She always gets up at six.（在 gets 前）
- be 动词后：He is usually free on weekends.（在 is 后）
- 情态动词后：You can never be too careful.（在 can 后）
- sometimes 位置较灵活，可放句首、句中或句末：Sometimes I walk to school. = I sometimes walk to school.
二、How often 问频率：How often do you read English? — Always. / Twice a week. / Hardly ever. 注意区分：How often（多久一次，问频率）；How long（多长时间，问时长）；How soon（多久之后）。
三、与一般现在时是"黄金搭档"：频率副词描述习惯性动作，最常配一般现在时，主语三单时动词加 s：Tom usually plays basketball after school. / My mother never drinks coffee at night.
四、hardly ever / never 含否定意义：句子本身不再加 not → He hardly ever eats junk food.；反义疑问句用肯定形式 → She never comes late, does she?

- 汇报句式：Li Ming hardly ever stays up late. He always goes to bed before ten.

辨析对比
① hardly vs hard：hardly 是副词"几乎不"，含否定意义 → I can hardly hear you.（我几乎听不见。）；hard 作副词是"努力地、猛烈地" → He works hard.（他工作努力。）两词形近义远，千万别混。
② hardly ever vs never：hardly ever 是"几乎从不"，还有极少的可能（约 5%）；never 是"从不"，完全否定（0%）。He hardly ever watches TV.（偶尔看一次）≠ He never watches TV.（一次也不看）
